Our take (English)
Not really a product you "use" so much as infrastructure you depend on.
Where it wins: it is where open models actually live, and the model cards plus community discussion are often the only reliable documentation on quirks and licensing. Spaces are genuinely useful for trying a model without any setup.
Where to be careful: quality is uneven — anyone can upload, so check download counts, licence terms and whether the card is substantive before you build on something. Commercial licensing varies wildly between models and is easy to get wrong.
Verdict: essential if you work with open models or fine-tune anything. If you only use hosted APIs, you will rarely need it.
